In June 2019, they completed a major infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. In a Joint Venture with the airport, they led in the digitalisation of the project. This landmark transportation project consisted of the construction of an infrastructure asset with a capacity of 27 million users per year. Apart from sharing knowledge through their BIM Centres, the company invested in an i-Room, that would help bring together this multi-cultural and geographically dispersed team. The i-Room as a human-computer co-location helped the team to meet its project goals effectively and efficiently.

The aim of this teaching case is to understand how this top tier contractor developed digital capabilities to become a leader in the global market of digital construction.
